Een van de vrijste geesten die ik ken is wijlen Edward Abbey, een Amerikaanse schrijver, die het volgende zei: 'Growth for the sake of Growth is the ideology of the cancer cell.' En gelijk heeft hij, niet alleen is de eeuwige groei de ideologie van een kankercel, maar het functioneert ook als een kankercel. Het vernietigt het maatschappelijke weefsel.
