Marking Nakba Day

MARKING NAKBA* DAY
*Nakba is the Arabic word for catastrophe or disaster when more than 700,000 Palestinians were forced into exile as a result of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. They and their descendants now number 5.7 million, most still confined in refugee camps and denied basic human rights. Human Rights Watch has recently called on Israel to allow for their repatriation.
