In 2011, a Malaysian court convicted former US President George W. Bush and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair of war crimes and genocide in Iraq. This has not received as much worldwide publicity as it probably deserved.
In 1992, when the recently elected 93-year-old Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was still in the opposition, he voiced strong criticism of the official JIT investigation. This too has not been widely publicized.
Netherlands and Australia have decided to hold Russia responsible for the MH17 disaster. But Malaysia’s minister of transport, Loke Siew Fook, told a news conference on May 28, 2018, “there is no conclusive evidence” of Russian responsibility for taking down MH17."
