Leaked photos show Russian
military likely delivered S-300
to Syria already
BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – A number of leaked photos were posted online, today, showing that the S-300 missile defense system may have been delivered to Syria already.
At least three photos were posted by Uralinform.Ru, today, showing the arrival of the Krasukha 4 electronic suppression of navigation and communication systems last night in Syria.
According to the author of the publication, the Russian military has already delivered the S-300 hardware to Syria via a Russian-made aircraft from the Mozdok Airport.
As shown below, the Krasukha 4 systems are being unloaded at the Hmeymim Military Airport near the Syrian coastal city of Jableh in the Latakia province.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that they will be supplying Syria with the S-300 anti-aircraft defense system in response to the downing of the IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft the week prior.
This move by the Russian Ministry of Defense comes just a week after the Israeli Air Force heavily bombarded western Syria and later hid behind the IL-20 aircraft in order to evade a Syrian S-200 missile.
Israel maintains that the Syrian military is to blame for the downing of the IL-20; however, after a week-long investigation, the Russian Ministry of Defense found that Israel was to blame for the aircraft’s demise.
