Top UN Official Steps Down, Accusing West of Complicity in ‘Palestinian Genocide’
In addition, Craig claimed that the United States, United Kingdom, and most of Europe were "wholly complicit in the horrific assault" and that the UN was "failing" in its duty to stop what he described as the genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza under Israeli bombardment.
“Once again we are seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes and the organisation we serve appears powerless to stop it," said, Craig Mokhiber. The former UN representative advocated for a "one-state solution," which would imply the end of the Jewish state and the restoration of historic Palestine.
Amid the Israel- Hamas Conflict, the UN Humanitarian Office (OCHA) said, "Since October 7th, 8,309 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 3,747 children and at least 2,062 women” on Wednesday. In retaliation for the October 7 attacks, Israeli ground forces have been engaged in combat inside the Gaza Strip and have launched airstrikes against Palestinian territory.
