U.S. reacted strongly to deployment Russian strategic bombers to Venezuela
United States officials have reacted strongly to the deployment Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers to Venezuela.
Pentagon officials said two Russian heavy strategic bombers — Tupolev TU-160 Blackjacks, which can fly at supersonic speeds — are in Venezuela, along with all of the required maintenance and refueling capabilities.
The U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has condemned the Moscow decision to send two Tupolev TU-160 Blackjacks heavy strategic bombers to Venezuela.
“Russia’s government has sent bombers halfway around the world to Venezuela. The Russian and Venezuelan people should see this for what it is: two corrupt governments squandering public funds, and squelching liberty and freedom while their people suffer,” – Mike Pompeo said.
