The Nobel Peace Prize nominated group, the White Helmets, is now the subject of a very different documentary than the one that won an Oscar in February, after videos on social media show the group’s members assisting in disposing of the dead bodies of Syrian soldiers. The US-backed ‘aid workers’ were seen celebrated their kill whilst holding the heads of the dead.
A video was posted on YouTube on Tuesday, that showed a group of men surrounding a white truck with multiple dead bodies in the back. While the men were dressed in plain clothes, and were proudly attracting a crowd around their truck, the dead bodies were all dressed in Syrian military uniforms. The video was titled, “White Helmets Al-Qaeda affiliates with deceased SAA Soldiers.”

Another video was posted on Twitter, which showed the truck once it had reached its destination—a garbage dump in the southern province of Dara’a. The group of men pulling the bodies from the truck wore a variety of clothes, which included camouflage patterns on some, and the classic White Helmets logo on others.
The video depicts the men pulling the bodies of the dead soldiers from the truck, some of which are beheaded. One man even holds a severed head up in front of the camera, as if it is a trophy, before tossing it into the pile.
The video was posted with the caption, “Impartial and humanitarian White Helmets participating in the beheading and throwing of Syrian soldiers bodies at a dumpster in Dara’a today.”

The same group that captured the hearts of the west as the true heroes in the war—protecting civilians from the tyrannical Syrian and Russian governments—is also the group that received praise from Al-Qaeda.
Abu Jaber, leader of Tahrir al-Sham, the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria, called the White Helmets the “hidden soldiers of our revolution” in a video posted online in March.
“Second, a message of thanks and gratitude to the hidden soldiers of our revolution,” Jaber said. “On top of the list are the parents of the martyrs and the men of the White Helmets.”
As The Free Thought Project reported earlier this month, when footage of the White Helmets saving 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh from the aftermath of a Russian airstrike went viral last August, there was actually much more to the story.
Mohamad Kheir Daqneesh, the boy’s father, spoke out nearly one year later, and questioned whether the blast was the result of an airstrike, due to the fact that it was not preceded by the sounds of fighter jets or missiles.
“We did not find out how the incident happened,” Daqneesh said. “I pulled my family members out of debris. Omran was with me, while White Helmets took him away and started taking photo of him.”
Daqneesh said the White Helmets appeared to be more concerned with getting their photo-op, than with actually providing any aid to the family. After the incident, he was plagued with media attention from sources who wanted him to blame Assad’s government for the attack.
“While I was rescuing my family the militants filmed my kin getting out of the house, in order to use these images for propaganda,” Daqneesh said. “I never had any dealings with their organizations and I never accepted their so-called humanitarian aid.”
The White Helmets, or the Syria Civil Defense as they are officially named, also have a history of staging terrorist attack videos in Syria, and plotting with Al-Qaeda to create a water blockade that would poison as many as 5 million Syrians.
In the same way that the United States’ involvement in the rise of terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda is severely distorted by western media, the truth about the White Helmets group is also a far cry from the reality.
The latest videos, which show men sporting White Helmets logos, while tossing the dead, severed bodies of Syrian soldiers into a garbage dump, should raise concern about why the U.S continues to fund this group to the tune of over $20 million.
