(MAABAR ZEITOUN / MAAVAR ZEITIM) NEAR AL-AZARIA,
OPPOSITE AZ-ZAYYEM, WEST BANK, JERUSALEM PERIPHERY
11 A.M. PALESTINIAN TIME / 12 NOON ISRAELI TIME
On Friday, October 11th, at 11 am Palestinian time, 12 noon Israeli time, Palestinian refugees of Bab al Shams (E-1) will pray at the Olive Terminal (West Bank, Al Azaria and Az-Zayyem side).
We call for Jerusalem to be an open city, saying "Do not close the door on our city!"
We, the local popular committees and refugees of Bab al Shams, claim our civil, urban and human rights to access our city, Al Quds, the Palestinian capital, and our religious sites there, especially Al Aqsa Mosque.
The prayers will also reflect on the recent demolitions of two entire nearby Palestinian Bedouin villages, at Tel Adassa East Jerusalem, and Az-Zayyem/E-1, as well as in the N. Jordan Valley at Khirbet Makhoul; the forced displacement caused by those demolitions to scores of refugees, landowners in the Negev and Az-Zayyem, being a grave breach of the Geneva Conventions.
