CodePink Attempts Citizen’s Arrest of Henry Kissinger
Posted on Jan 30, 2015
Activists from the anti-war group CodePink attempted to arrest former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger during his testimony on global security matters at a Senate Armed Services Committee meeting Thursday.
Kissinger was secretary of state and national security adviser during the Vietnam War under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona lashed out at the protesters, calling one “lowlife scum” and called on the Capitol Hill Police to remove them.
