Actievoeren helpt! KLM heeft haar website aangepast naar aanleiding van de verschillende mails die de luchtvaartmaatschappij (afgelopen dagen en vandaag) heeft ontvangen over de vermelding dat Bethlehem in Israel ligt. Eerder vandaag berichtten wij in de nieuwsbrief het volgende bericht over KLM. Het is dus niet meer nodig om de KLM aan te schrijven.
VOLGENS KLM LIGT BETHLEHEM IN ISRAEL
Een medeactivist ontdekte dat volgens de KLM Bethlehem in Israel ligt in plaats van in Palestina. Het was voor haar aanleiding een brief te sturen naar de KLM: "I was extremely shocked to see that one of your Christmas Breaks offered was advertised as being in "Israel: Bethlehem": http://www.iflymagazine.com/?locale=gb_en#/easy/christmas/.
I have visited Bethlehem and I can assure you that it is not in Israel but in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Surely your experienced editorial team ought to know the difference! (I realise that the KLM flight is to Tel Aviv, but the impressiongiven by iFly is that Bethlehem itself is in Israel.) I do hope that KLM is not being influenced by the Israeli Tourist Office, who routinely produce misleading maps and propaganda designed to convince tourists that famous sites like Bethlehem
are all part of Israel. "
