Well, I think the first time we met inperson was in Moscow. I was workingthere a few years ago now, but I wasworking there for a department focusingon the Greater Eurasia Initiative. That isfor Russia to integrate its economythrough industries, physical corridors,financial instruments from China to India,Iran.
And you as a journalist have beenworking on this as well. So, yeah. That'sbeen a while, but this whole initiative isseen as an effort to essentiallyreorganize the international economicarchitecture. And of course, Russia andChina tends to form the core, but India,Iran, many others have an interest in thismultipolar economic architecture.
I thought a good place to start todaywould be to ask you, how do you seeIran's role in this whole thing, in thisconstruct?
Well, stepping a little bit away, but not somuch from the war, Glenn, this is one ofmy latest columns this week. I sent you acopy, which is an update on... what Icalled years ago the War of ConnectivityCorridors. So basically we have all thoseconnectivity corridors part of the NewSilk Road,
the Belt and Road Initiative. There are atleast six of them, maybe seven in fact,including the Maritime Silk Road, east towest. Then there's the north to south, thenorth-south international transportationcorridor. Three BRICS, Russia, Iran, andIndia, which is something that I had theprivilege, in fact,
