  Russian official says US shows ‘true colours’ with attack on Iran

  Dmitry Medvedev, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin who is currently the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, has accused the US of using nuclear talks with Iran as a cover-up ahead of military operations.

  “The peacemaker has once again shown his true colours,” Medvedev said on Telegram.

  Netanyahu ‘changing the agenda’ to declare victory

  Akiva Elder, Israeli political analyst, says Netanyahu is promising regime change, and he is the “angel to save the Iranian people from their evil regime”.

  “I am quite sure that the Israelis, and this is about 50 percent of the Jewish population, don’t take him seriously. He wasn’t able to declare victory after the massacre in Gaza and the thousands of victims in Israel,” Elder told Al Jazeera from Tel Aviv.

  “His total victory is changing the agenda.”

  Elder added that Netanyahu is “doing what he does best” and brainwashing people that there is “no option other than perpetuate the war against our neighbours”.

  All US, Israel assets in region a ‘legitimate target’, says senior Iranian official

  A senior Iranian official has told Al Jazeera that they are telling Israel to “prepare for what is coming, and our response will be public, and there are no red lines”.

  “All American and Israeli assets and interests in the Middle East have become a legitimate target. There are no red lines after this aggression, and everything is possible, including scenarios that were not previously considered,” the official said.

  “The United States and Israel have started an aggression and a war that will have wide and long-lasting repercussions. We were not surprised by the joint American-Israeli aggression and we have a complex response with no time limit,” the official stated, adding that any calls for Iran to show restraint or surrender are “unacceptable and mere wishful thinking”.
