Israeli jets have carried out an airstrike on the Gaza strip - just hours ahead of the much-anticipated resumption of peace talks with the Palestinians. Negotiations have been in dead-lock since 2010. And with Israel recently announcing plans for more than two thousand new settlement homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem - the already fragile looking talks are under ever-greater pressure.
