The United States has increased its imports of aircraft parts from Russia, despite harsh rhetoric from the U.S. in the past accusing other countries of “helping” Putin by purchasing goods and materials from Moscow.

The United States increased its imports of aircraft parts from Russia to the highest level in three years in November, RIA Novosti calculated based on US. .customs data, suggesting that the Russian business is also profitable overseas.

At the end of last month, the value of Russian exports to the United States amounted to $7.6 million, the highest monthly value since February 2022. This is a 1.6-fold increase compared to November of the previous year.

In the first eleven months of 2024, component purchases totaled $31.4 million, compared to $30.6 million a year earlier.

In November, Americans were most interested in aircraft landing gear and parts, which were worth $6.97 million, and other parts for aircraft, helicopters or drones, which amounted to $586,100.

In November, the main suppliers of parts to the United States were the United Kingdom ($281 million), France ($195 million) and Canada ($146 million).

America is thus doing significant business with Moscow while imposing sanctions on others. As we reported earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó also pointed out: The sanctions now implemented in the energy sector by the outgoing U.S. administration could lead to a serious increase in fuel prices in Central Europe.

U.S. President Joe Biden and the U.S. administration have imposed punitive measures against the Serbian Oil Company (NIS) due to its more than 50 percent Russian ownership.

In the past, Remix News highlighted how the U.S. was a top buyer of Russian uranium, despite criticizing Hungary for relying on Russian oil and gas.
