Outrageous!
Amer Fakhoury, former Lebanese commander of the “Khiam prison” and the architect of its horrific torture methods during the Israeli occupation has returned to Lebanon without facing a trial!
He was later arrested by the Lebanese security forces after an arrest warrant was issued by the Military Court pressured by a wide national outrage.
He is currently going through investigations.
"Khiam prison” was an Israeli detention centre in south Lebanon used for tormenting civilians.
Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch reported the use of serious human rights abuses in the facility.
After the liberation from the Israeli occupation the prison was turned into a museum. But during the 2006 Lebanon-Israel War, the Israeli Air Forces bombed and destroyed the centre to hide the evidence of torture and mistreatment used there.

The Tourist Landmark of the Resistance, also known as Museum for Resistance Tourism, is a war museum operated by the Lebanese resistance near the village of Mleeta in southern Lebanon. The museum opened on May 25, 2010, marking the 10th anniversary of the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000. The site was once an important base for the resistance fighters.
