The War That Saved the Life of Iran’s Regime and Sealed the Deal for Tyranny in America

The War That Saved the Life of Iran’s Regime and Sealed the Deal for Open Tyranny in America

If you believe the Islamic Republic stood up to the United States, you are supporting the exact narrative the military industrial complex needs to justify this war. This is a mutually beneficial war. Both sides need it to sustain their own legitimacy.

The US-Israeli axis needed the Islamic Republic to survive. Not to be destroyed. To survive in a weakened, manageable form. The Israeli regime needs the Islamic Republic as its adversary to justify the genocide of Palestinians, the occupation, and its hegemonic ambitions across the region. Without the Islamic Republic as the existential threat, Israel loses the justification for everything it is doing to Palestinians. The adversary is not an obstacle to Israeli hegemony. The adversary is the engine of it. A weakened Islamic Republic that still technically exists and still performs opposition to Israel is the perfect tool. Present enough to point to. Weak enough to never actually stop anything. A free Iran of 90 million people with massive resources answering to its own people becomes an independent regional power that answers to no one. That is the actual threat to Israeli hegemony. That is why the regime had to survive. But for the regime to survive, it had to remain recognized as the legitimate representative of Iran.

For the past 16 years, the Islamic Republic has been facing the largest uprisings since the 1979 revolution. The most recent occurred this past January, right before the war started. Iranians rose in every province simultaneously. The regime responded with the worst massacre in its history. Tens of thousands of Iranians were imprisoned and murdered in cold blood. The regime shut down the internet to kill in the dark without the world’s eyes on Iran. The regime has kept Iran’s internet shut off for the large majority of 2026, even while the US-Israeli axis bombs the country, leaving Iranians unaware of what is happening to them. That is a crime against humanity. And that is what Americans are calling a model government defending its nation and standing up to bullies. Americans cannot see that the regime is also a bully, that its legitimacy was so destroyed that it desperately needed this war to regain control of the narrative on Iran. The regime succeeded. The Iranian people are invisible to Americans. Consent means nothing to anyone. All Americans see is a regime standing up to the United States and Israel, and they call that courage.

Now here is the part that nobody sees. Here is where the silence becomes the ammunition.

The military industrial complex needed one thing to justify this war: the Islamic Republic had to remain recognized as the legitimate representative of Iran. That is it. That is the entire mechanism. Because you cannot justify bombing a country whose people are openly demanding the removal of their own regime and a pathway to self-determination. If that is the dominant narrative, bombs serve no purpose. The only thing needed is withdrawing recognition from the regime. But if the regime remains recognized, it becomes a legitimate military target. And a legitimate military target is all the military industrial complex needs to justify a war.

In January, Iranians were doing the most dangerous thing a population can do to a regime. They were destroying its recognition from the inside. Rising in every province. Begging the world to stop treating the regime as their representative. Begging Americans to support their right to self-determination. If Americans had amplified that message, the regime’s recognition would have collapsed. A regime the world no longer recognizes as legitimate cannot be bombed as a sovereign state. The war would have no justification. Because there would be no nuclear threat if the regime was gone. And the military industrial complex would have no target. Because they can’t justify targeting the people of Iran when they’re rising against their regime. That’s why the whole narrative is that they’re targeting only regime targets when that’s not even true.

But, Americans stayed silent to the Iranian uprisings and the Iranian people’s wish to be separated from their regime in the narrative on Iran. And the western left stayed silent. Worse, they cast doubt on the legitimacy of the protesters. They questioned whether the situation was as bad as Iranians were claiming. These are the same people who claim they stand against oppression. That they stand with the oppressed. But all their actions was to support the regime in Iran. And by supporting the regime in Iran, they sent one message to the world: we recognize this regime as Iran’s representative. We reject what Iranians are telling us. We stand with their oppressor. So, the regime’s recognition held. The military industrial complex had its target. And the war was justified. The western left’s silence on the Iranian uprising is what gave the military industrial complex the ammunition to bomb Iran. And to this day they cannot see it.

This war saved the regime’s life and crushed Iran’s liberation movement. The moment the bombs dropped, the regime stopped being a government massacring its own population and became a sovereign state under foreign attack. The internet shutdown that the regime imposed to hide their mass murder of Iranian protesters was reframed as wartime security.

So, when the regime succeeded to silence the voices of Iranians, that’s when Americans found their voice on Iran. That’s when they started to become vocal. Suddenly, the regime was a resistance force. People who had said nothing while tens of thousands of Iranians were massacred started sharing AI generated videos celebrating the Islamic Republic’s strength and honor. By spreading the resistance narrative after the bombs dropped, Americans gave the regime the international legitimacy that it could not generate from its own population.

The right sees the bombs and says: finally, help for the Iranian people. The left sees the bombs and says: imperialist aggression, defend the regime. Both narratives keep every side exactly where the military industrial complex needs them.

And Christian Zionists are taking pointers from the regime in Iran. They’re seeing that Americans are admiring gender apartheid. That Americans are admiring a regime that has a Supreme Leader who claims to be God’s representative on earth. That is why Trump is cosplaying as a divinely appointed leader. That is why the war on Iran is being preached to American soldiers as God’s plan. That is why Trump is attacking the Pope. Because, the Islamic Republic already proved that formula works.

When the United States becomes a full-blown tyranny and Americans ask how they got there, the answer is this: it started the moment Americans decided the Islamic Republic was standing up to bullies. That decision signaled to the architects of American theocracy that Americans find tyranny compelling. That gender apartheid reads as strength. That a regime can massacre its own population and still be called honorable as long as it punches the right target externally.

The regime’s life was saved. The people paid for it. The western left provided the silence that made it possible and the narrative that sustained it.

The tyranny Americans celebrated abroad is the tyranny being built for Americans at home.
