“The Nazi Holocaust was not based on sadism, on cruelty. It was a functional genocide. And because it was so functional and so industrialized it required a very small number of people to kill large numbers of human beings. It was totally mechanized with the latest technology, mainly killing by gas, and was very efficient. Then a major part of the population in Germany did not even knew about it. The genocide in Gaza is very different. It is actually done by hundreds of thousands of Israeli military. This is the Most democratic genocide that we have seen in our lifetime,” aldus de zoon van joodse Holocaust-overlevenden, professor Haim Bresheeth-Žabner, filmmaker, photographer and a film studies scholar, retired from the University of East London, where he worked since since early 2002.
His books include the best-selling Introduction to the Holocaust (with Stuart Hood, 2 reprints since 1997), the first version was titled Holocaust for Beginners (1993) and was also reprinted a number of times; This title was also published in Turkish, Croatian and Japanese translations, and is being translated into other languages.
