Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded a Palestinian school, assaulted teachers and children, and attacked them with pepper spray.  Rayyan, 7, died while running for his life from Israeli soldiers who were chasing young children. Israeli soldiers have killed 35 Palestinian children since the beginning of this year. After the child’s death, soldiers invaded his family’s home, ransacked it, & interrogated his parents.  In Jenin on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers targeted not just resistance fighters, but also reporters, ambulances, and medics. Nearby schools – including a kindergarten – were under threat, and Palestinians protesting this brutality were assaulted. This is not an isolated Israeli attack, nor is it a mere retaliation for the killing of an Israeli soldier. This is a military superpower prohibiting legal resistance and protest against its illegal occupation. Some in Israeli media have surmised that israel is purposely provoking another intifada (uprising). The Palestinian death toll this month alone is now up to 18 (1 Israeli is also dead.).  Gideon Levy asks, what did you expect? No people that has suffered as the Palestinian people has suffered will remain quiet, and that includes the Palestinian people between Rafah, in the Gaza Strip, and Jenin in the West Bank. Of course they will resist Israel's brutal occupation, and it's what Israel wants: an intifada, an excuse to spill Palestinian blood. The teen was shot to death by an Israeli sniper during a nighttime army raid, after the killing of an Israeli officer, allegedly by someone in the town.  On Sunday, invading Israeli forces ambushed Sa'ed al-Koni, 26. He had tried to resist the illegal and brutal Israeli occupation.  For years, Hollywood bigwigs have been using their outsized influence to keep the facts about Israel's violent occupation hidden behind a veneer of victimhood. They have framed Israeli brutality as 'self-defense,' while demonizing pro-justice entertainers and the peaceful Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement.  His crime was accidentally colliding with an empty police car. He paid with his life as multiple Israeli officers opened fire on him. |
