Obama figured out how to make NFL players stand, pay them $5.1 million dollars
Under Obama, teams that showed “Veteran’s Salutes” were paid upwards of $5.1 million dollars.
President Trump doubled down on his rhetoric against NFL players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.
Trump is encouraging fans boycott the NFL if the league refuses to “back the U.S.”
Trump is going about the “anthem” controversy all wrong. Former US President Obama had it all figured out in 2009.
If you want professional athletes to stand during the US national anthem…pay them. Or better yet, go to war (in places like Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc…), and then pay the athletes to stand up during the national anthem.
Obama, the master of identity politics, understood that a few million dollars invested in the NFL to manufacture a false sense of patriotism, would work wonders in brainwashing the masses into believing that America’s interventionist wars were about all the fuzzy feelings conjured up by the playing of “O say can you see”…
If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

Then to find out they’re doing it because they’re compensated for it, it leaves you underwhelmed. It seems a little unseemly.”

Streisand effect: hoe meer aandacht je besteedt aan iets dat niet (van jou) mag, hoe meer aandacht dat genereert en hoe meer mensen datgene gaan doen wat (van jou) niet mag. Dat is wat binnen de NFL nu gebeurt, alsook bij het referendum van Catalonië.
Nee, wat dat betreft is Obama een magiër, en weet ook de Nederlandse politiek het spelletje van hypnose te spelen door a) medeleven te tonen met.. om daarna b) heel langzaam het tegenovergestelde te doen als wat men zou verwachten van een oprecht iemand die medeleven betracht.
De Nobelprijs voor de vrede toespraak van Obama is een voorbeeld, de onderste steen van Rutte een ander.
Maar omkopen is een andere goede truc, hoewel dat maar tot zekere hoogte werkt: Morgan Freeman die ingehuurd door tptb verklaart dat Amerika in oorlog is met Rusland wekt eerder irritatie op dan geloofwaardigheid. Amerikaanse Footballers die voor het volkslied van de VS in de houding staan terwijl het land verscheurd wordt door toenemende ongelijkheidsverschillen, is een ander voorbeeld waarbij geloofwaardigheid langzaam maar zeker verandert in irritatie

Dit is niet een protest tegen Trump (wat de media er van probeert te maken), maar een protest tegen ongelijkheid (inequality) in de VS wat al veel langer speelt dan Trump of zelfs Obama.
