Sothank you for coming on. It's, you know,it seems every few weeks now the worldlooks like a completely different place. Iwas, yeah, in this context,
hoping if you could perhaps shed somelight because you've been, yourexperience from the intelligencecommunity is quite extensive. And, youknow, as we now move towards possiblyseveral large wars, maybe with Russia,Iran, even China, I was wondering if yousee any continuity in this regard in termsof
US strategy and the wider approach tothe world, to Eurasia and, or are weseeing something completely new at thispoint in history?
Really good question, Glenn, as usual.Let me just interject that if you wantcontinuity or discontinuity, you came tothe right place. When you're 86 years oldand you started focusing on the SovietUnion in 1959 and then professionally in1963, Well, I've been around.
One of the things in my bio I probablyshould polish up is the fact that I not onlyprepared the president's daily brieftogether with a team for Nixon andPresident Gerald Ford, but I briefed itone-on-one early in the morningphysically downtown in Washington, D.C.
