officers dead since 7 October

The Israeli army’s spokesman revealed yesterday that 307 soldiers and officers have been killed since 7 October.
According to Al Jazeera, the spokesman said that the army had escalated its operations in the Gaza Strip to “reduce the danger to our forces in the next stage.”
The occupation army is expected to launch a ground offensive into the Gaza Strip, following its 2 weeks of aerial bombardment which has killed more than 4,700 Palestinians, the majority women and children, and flattened large swathes of the besieged Gaza Strip.
On 7 October, the Palestinian resistance launched a surprise campaign to infiltrate Israeli towns surrounding the besieged Strip. Israel says more than 200 hostages were taken to Gaza in the operation.
