The wealthy and the powerful are doing everything they can to defend the status quo and protect their financial interests. They have incredible power and unlimited amounts of money to control the narrative: they own the corporate media and have effective control of our political parties.
The Common Dreams media model is different. Our mission: To inform. To inspire. To ignite change for the common good.
Our journalists work hard to inform by bringing you the news that matters - which is often about how the world is.
But we think the most important part of our mission is to inspire—and so we work hard to bring you the voices of visionaries who dream about how the world should be.
You and I know that people power can change the world. And so we bring you the voices of activists and regular people whose creative solutions and courageous actions might otherwise go unheard.
And make no mistake. Change is coming.
It's contagious. If good people like you and me stand up, refuse to be intimidated, and refuse to accept injustice, together we will ignite a movement.
