Yesterday was a horrifying and tragic day in Palestine. The Israeli military opened fire on Gaza protesters as the U.S. and Israeli governments celebrated the move of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in what was the deadliest day in Gaza since the end of Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

Below is our coverage of the day. Phil Weiss is currently in Jerusalem and reported from the protests near the new U.S. embassy. We also published another on-the-ground report from Jerusalem as well as one from Gaza. Throughout the day we covered breaking news on a live blog where you can find much of our coverage.
