In an interview with For Peace Media team, @lanzybear (IG) shares her family’s story of displacement during the Nakba.
Her grandmother was pregnant with Mohamed Hadid when Zionist militias forced them from their home in Safad. The family had opened their doors to Polish refugees after World War II — only to come back one day and find their house taken.
Separated into refugee camps for nearly a year, they were eventually reunited, but their home and homeland were gone.
Alana reminds us: “It’s not just our family’s story. It’s every Palestinian story.”
