On Thursday, the International Criminal Court (ICC) formally issued warrants for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated in Gaza.
Netanyahu’s guilt is imperialism’s guilt. The entire American political establishment, from the Biden administration and the Democratic Party to the Republican Party and the incoming Trump administration, has supported the Gaza genocide and has united in condemning the ICC decision.
But even as the US and NATO ramp up the war against Russia, Washington is threatening retaliation against the International Criminal Court and any country that cooperates with its case.
The international working class must build a global anti-war movement to stop the new imperialist redivision of the world and the threat of nuclear war. Above all, this requires a historically grounded perspective to carry out the fight for world socialist revolution
