‘The United States needs a war in Europe’

‘The United States needs a war in Europe,’ Le Pen explained why Washington intends to arm Ukraine

US needs a military conflict in Europe, in connection with which Washington intends to  provide Ukraine with weaponry.
This statement was made in the Russian State Duma, by the leader of the National Front and French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, who arrived in Moscow at the invitation of the International Affairs Committee. To produce this war, she said, US seeks to bring Ukraine into NATO.
She strongly condemned the latest policies of the French government, and stated that she shares the Russian point of view regarding Ukraine. What else she said at the meeting can be found at RT.
Marine Le Pen, head of the National Front and the challenger for the presidency in France, spoke at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs, about her vision of relations between Moscow and Paris, and the prospects for their cooperation on relevant issues.
Among the latter, she cited the fight against terrorism and fundamentalism. She also lamented the lack of independence of France in international affairs, criticized the position of its current powers in relation to Ukraine, and expressed in this regard the support of Russia.
Illegal Kiev and war crimes
According to Le Pen, regarding Ukraine, she has her own point of view that is different from the one pursued by the French establishment, and many politicians. She also stressed that she has never deviated from her words and did not change opinions.
“As for the situation in Ukraine, I was one of the few politicians in France who defended their own point of view on Ukraine, which coincides with the Russian. <…> My position since the conflict began, has not changed” — Tass quotes Le Pen.
She noted that it is always ambiguously stated the role played by the EU in the development and deepening of the conflict, referred to as a civil war. At the same time, Le Pen said, it was not only her opinion, but with the beginning of the election campaign, some others changed their position for tactical reasons.
Because of this, according to the politician, Paris now has to deal with the illegal government in Kiev.
“Today, in Ukraine, we have to deal with a government that illegally took power in an overthrow in the Maidan and now exposes the civilian population to being bombed in Donetsk and Luhansk.”
“This is a war crime that should have caused indignation by all those human rights defenders, which we constantly hear today with very different statements in the French media,” said Le Pen.
US wants war
Instability in eastern Europe, according to the National Front leader, is due primarily to the United States.
“The US aim is to trigger a real war in Europe, that’s the goal of arming Ukraine. They want to bring NATO to the Russian border. They have many years of trying to strengthen their influence in Eastern Europe,” she said.
To do this, the US wants to tighten Ukraine into NATO, which the French leadership, which is literally “at the service of” Washington, does not block.
The sanctions as blackmail
Against this background, Le Pen said it’s an error and unwise move by Brussels to impose sanctions on Russia.
“With regard to sanctions, and my attitude toward sanctions, you know that we have always been against them. I believe that it is unfair, and even more — it is stupid,” said the politician.
Thus, added Le Pen, Brussels has condemned the position that the EU should be opposed to these restrictions.
“We do not believe in any threats to diplomacy, diplomacy regarding sanctions, nor in diplomacy blackmail, which the European Union in recent years has increasingly applied not only against Russia, but against their own members,” she said.
In this regard, Le Pen said about the need to abolish the restrictions that they are counterproductive and hinder the dialogue between countries.
“I hope that France will be able to, I will be able to defend the position that we have canceled the black lists, at least in France,” she added.
The fight against terrorism
According to Le Pen, with the establishment of relations between Moscow and Paris in the fight against international terrorism, great success can be achieved which will help the entire global community. After all, Russia has a lot of experience in fighting fundamentalism.
“France already carries a heavy burden in the fight against Islamic fundamentalism, and Russia makes an undeniable contribution to it, to overcome this fundamentalism. I think that in order to overcome these challenges, our two nations must work together and give them a worthy rebuff,” said the politician.
Moreover, she specified, Russia has dealt a serious blow to jihadism in Syria. Therefore, other countries will need to support it. In particular, the urgent problem is to confront terrorist recruiters:
“If we do not put an end to the recruitment of the future, our fight against terrorism would be like trying to empty the sea with a coffee spoon,” summed up Le Pen.
