David Stockman destroys Fox panel on budget, foreign policy
Fox is still unbearable but it has become a bit more tolerable, though it really needs John Stossel back. That said, it still is a pro-war, pro-Republican, pro-government television network. There really is no substantial difference between MSNBC and Fox. Sure, the former may call everything racist and the latter may complain about it, but when it comes down to the big issues, such as big government and war, they’re on the same side.
On Wednesday, David Stockman, former Reagan budget director and author of “The Great Deformation,” made an early morning appearance on the Fox Business Network to discuss tax cuts, the budget, and foreign policy.
He was the voice of reason:
– Tax cuts are good, but they’re meaningless if you don’t slashing spend.
– The military didn’t need an increase in its budget.
– The U.S. shouldn’t be bombing Syria because Bashar al-Assad didn’t gas his people.

Obviously, Stockman struck a nerve with a couple of the hosts and panelists.
Host Maria Bartiromo was advocating for more hawkish policies, while one of the southern hosts just griped about the Democrats.
It is apparent that the network hasn’t learned the lessons of the past 20 years: the current foreign policy isn’t working and cutting taxes without cutting spending will lead to ballooning deficits and exploding debt levels.
