When Zelenskyy was elected

Fergus Quinlan
When Zelenskyy was elected in Ukraine with a 74% majority...I and many were delighted. He promised reconciliation with the culture of 17% of Russians living in Ukraine and recognise the security concerns of the Russian Federation, by maintaining a nuetral position and not align with NATO. However , on gaining power, every promise was broken. He has now adopted the agenda of the right wing nationalists and their anti Russia phobia. And supports US /NATO in its expansion to the Russian border......in the knowledge that this and the killing of thousands of people in Donbass would provoke Russia, he ignored the Minsk agreement. Any talk of peace is now regarded as treason, opposition parties have been banned, the media are under total censorship and control. All this to please his American sponsers, he will be seen to be guilty of the foolish sacrifice of many Ukrainian people. Thankfully he does not have nuclear weapons.
But here the western media have won....war has come, truth and reason have fled.... a new dark age of US exceptionalism is upon us. The violent men of NATO...who have worked hard for this moment.... wine and dine with the arms salesmen...while our dail and media claps, claps, and claps...
Zelensky recently outlawed any political parties and media outlets deemed to be engaging in “anti-Ukrainian” activities which might challenge the official position of the present Ukrainian authorities like calling the war an internal conflict, a civil war and so on. Any positive remarks about making peace are outlawed as well, including referring to the forces of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk republics as “insurgents.”

There must be many fellow Ukrainians who can drink Zelensky's blood right now.
Where's he going to live his life in the future one starts to wonder.
