American General Milley believes that minefields are a real problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, explained that it is impossible to catch up with the Russian Aerospace Forces in the number of fighters in the coming years.
“The real problem is the minefields. It's not air power. Now, having said that, just do a quick math. Ten F-16s cost $2 billion. The Russians have hundreds of 4th and 5th generation aircraft.
If they try to catch up with the Russians 1:1 or even 2:1, then this is a large number of aircraft. It will take years to train pilots, years to maintain, years to create such financial support.
This is about a lot more billions of dollars than has already been channeled.”
Milley also said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive is "far from failure", despite the fact that it is moving more slowly than expected. Allegedly, Kyiv has not yet used "significant combat power"
