Last month on The Electronic Intifada livestream my colleague Nora Barrows-Friedman and myself discussed my latest article at the time, “Israel’s national murder-suicide pact.”
It was a detailed breakdown on the reasons as to why so many Israelis seem to be willing to sacrifice the lives of their own children if it helps their military to wipe out the Palestinians, starting with the infamous example of Thomas Hand.
You may remember Hand from the early days of the Israeli genocide on Gaza as the Irish-Israeli father who said of his own daughter’s apparent death that it would be “a blessing” compared to being held captive in Gaza.
His daughter Emily turned out to be alive and well and was soon released by Hamas in November’s prisoner exchange.
