What Disturbs Our Blood

And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

But than...

the Devil appeared with his red rimmed fire glasses, and ringed claws, followed by The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse...

And afterwards nothing was good anymore, because:

Through winter-time we call on spring,

And through the spring on summer call,

And when abounding hedges ring

Declare that winter's best of all;

And after that there's nothing good

Because the spring-time has not come --

Nor know that what disturbs our blood

Is but its longing for the tomb.

-- William Butler Yeats
