BDS-activisten verstoren het Israeli Stage Festival met de boodschap: Geef apartheid geen podium!

Op zaterdag 18 september verstoorde een groep activisten van Free Palestine Maastricht en BDS Nederland de eerste voorstelling van het Israeli Stage Festival in cultureel studentencentrum Crea in Amsterdam. Sommige activisten werden met geweld verwijderd uit de zaal. Zij maakten met deze actie de aanwezigen duidelijk dat dit festival met de slogan: “Israeli culture is back to LIVE in the Netherlands” onderdeel is van de “Brand Israel” campagne van het Israëlische ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken: moedwillig gebruik maken van kunst en cultuur om de aandacht af te leiden van Israëls voortdurende wandaden: mensenrechtenschendingen, onderdrukking en apartheid.
