Support B'Tselem

Dear Stan,

Mainstreaming white supremacy. Autocratic alignment. Global Warming. These, and so much more, have dramatically worsened over the past four years – in America, and around the globe.

And in this part of the world, no exceptions. Four years of Trump and Netanyahu, building on the decades that came before, have relentlessly advanced the agenda of Greater Israel. Not only have they further normalized the perpetual oppression of Palestinians, they are also openly seeking to defeat any aspirations for justice, liberty, or equality.

We do not know the outcome of the US elections on November 3. But this we do know: that no matter the outcome, our work – and our fight – will continue. Just as we have not relented over the past four years, we will not relent under the next administration.

This week, we published “The annexation that was and still is,” a new B’Tselem position paper highlighting how after the end of the months-long de jure annexation brouhaha – which played out, with full American backing, from January through August – the situation on the ground is as unacceptable as it was before. It is a reality of de facto annexation, which allows Israel to continue advancing its project of settlements for Jews and displacement for Palestinians with impunity.

Cleareyed facts are what B’Tselem has always been about. With your help, that is exactly what we will continue doing. I know that the road ahead will be longer than the term of the next US administration. Yet the destination of that long and complicated path is one of equality, justice, and freedom.

Thank you for your kind support and generosity,

Hagai
