Evidence Suggests Trump Will Be Impeached, Says Senator Leading The Russia Investigation
He "puts the odds at two to one against Trump completing his full term"
Trump may have passed the 100 days in office milestone, but the likelihood of him being impeached is reportedly a "real and growing possibility".
Senior Washington figures believe the odds point towards President Donald Trump being impeached and, as reported in the New Yorker, Mark Warner, the vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee has reportedly put the odds at two to one against Trump completing his full term.
Warner's committee is currently investigating alleged Russian interference in the US election and clarified the comments saying that he was "not referring specifically to the Russia investigation, but rather the totality of challenges the President is currently facing." The Senator has previously claimed the Kremlin paid more than 1,000 people to generate negative fake news stories about Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign.
Currently the committee is officially headed up by Republican Senator Richard Burr but as he and others from his party are seemingly attempting to slow the process of formally investigating or impeaching Trump, Warner is widely considered the most senior figure on the investigation.
Evidence that ties the Trump campaign to the Kremlin during the election is mounting with one source saying to The Guardian: "They now have specific, concrete and corroborative evidence of a collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the run up to the vote last November."
"This is between people in the Trump campaign and agents of (Russian) influence relating to the use of hacked material," they added.
Trump's approval rating is currently at 40%, the lowest of any newly elected President. Not sure the Celebrity Apprentice would have him back now either.
