Intermittent Israeli shelling continues in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh
Mazen Ibrahim, Al Jazeera Arabic’s bureau chief in Lebanon, has reported from Nabatieh that intermittent Israeli shelling is still continuing on the city’s outskirts.
He said Israeli forces had fired missiles at “the entire residential area”, leaving a five-storey building destroyed and widespread damage across Nabatieh and nearby towns.
“We found some residents trying to salvage what remained of their belongings inside their homes, but they discovered that nothing remained except destruction,” he said.
Ibrahim said Israeli bombing was still preventing many residents from returning.
“Our team is taking the risk so that the world can see what is happening here,” he added.
