John Mearsheimer cuts to the point: America holds the real power, and everything else is empty posturing. Washington controls Europe, calling the shots in NATO because it pays for their defense. Europe has no real military strength, so its opinions mean nothing to Russia. In the end, only America matters—Europe has no sovereignty.
