The military analysis of the latest events seems very sensible to me.
His proposal to strictly limit immigration to highly skilled people only , is a bit self-centered, considering that it creates the problem of the "brain drain" for the countries who will lose those same people.
He also is probably not enough of an economist to judge , what the best solution would be for the countries , that want to circumvent the use of the dollar. He thinks bitcoin could play a role. I get the impression that gold is going to play a major role , considering that those countries built up their gold reserves. But I'm not an economist either. It's a very important question.
He also ends the interview lightheartedly with pledging allegiance to the Bitcoin.
There are plenty of smart people who regard the coin as a Ponzi scheme , or, as Varoufakis recently put it "just another oligarchic layer added to the existing one".
The problems he adresses , are treated eloquently , but that doesn't mean he adressed all relevant problems. For instance the problem that transnationally operating capital undermines national meritocracy.
