Netanyahu Lie 324d7
Thanks to Roman Emperors like Nero and Caligula the bar for madness while leading a nation has been set very high. However, it seems that Benjamin Netanyahu is approaching those very levels of madness and will stop at nothing in order to get his way regarding the Iran nuclear deal. In a latest display of absurd drama Israel disclosed an operation that was just now completed by the Israeli secret intelligence agency, the Mossad, in uncovering thousands of secret documents from the Iranian nuclear archives and bringing them from Tehran to Tel-Aviv. The Mossad as it happens is controlled by the Prime Minister himself. The Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot internet edition, Ynet as well as others just published a story that includes some of the documents for all to see and be impressed.
As the May 12 deadline for Trump to renew sanctions waivers under The Iran deal, or JCPOA - Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action - approaches Netanyahu is becoming more creative in his attempts to demonize Iran. This is while his own military is murdering and maiming countless Palestinian protesters in Gaza over the last few weeks.
According to the story in Ynet, since the JCPOA was signed in 2015 all international intelligence agencies ceased their operations in Iran and were no longer collecting information regarding Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Only the Mossad was working hard at finding the truth, and very conveniently, just two weeks before US President Donald Trump must decide whether or not to renew sanctions against 80 millions Iranians who have never attacked, occupied or threatened anyone - Netanyahu’s Mossad uncovers and is in possession of over one hundred thousand documents, weighing a total of half a ton - and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen is on his way to Washington, DC to brief administration officials.
In 2002 Netanyahu testified in front of the United States Congress encouraging the members of congress to attack Iraq and get rid of Saddam Hussein and “guaranteeing” that this will bring positive change to the region. That war was of course catastrophic for Iraq and the Iraqi people, as well as for the entire region and cost the United Stated untold trillions of dollars and thousands of lives. Then as now, what Netanyahu wants is not regional stability but regional hegemony. He wants the region to see that Israel calls the shots and that those who play “nice” with Israel - like the regimes in Egypt,  Jordan, Saudi Arabia - may continue to abuse their citizens, steal and kill to their heart’s content and will not be lectured by the “enlightened West” about human rights. On the other hand, those who choose not to collaborate with Israel - countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen pay a heavy price.
In an outstanding piece in Hebrew in the progressive Israeli online magazine “Mekomit” journalist Orly Noy - who is originally from Iran and immigrated as a child - reviewed the responses in the Iranian press to Netanyahu’s revelation of secret documents. “Most responded with typical humor and sarcasm,” she writes, and she goes on to give examples: “We are doomed,” said one responder, “Israel uncovered the Iranian plan to attack Israel with 50,000 paper airplanes.” Another commentator congratulates the Israeli intelligence agencies for the improvement in their illustration skills - “going from a cartoon to shelves filled with binders.”
It would be fair to say that Netanyahu is mad but not stupid. Demanding the US and indeed the rest of the world impose strict sanctions against Iran even though clearly there is no justification for sanctions is madness but it is a smart strategy for Israel and it has been working for years. Attacking Iran or getting the US to attack Iran is stupidity. The repercussions of an actual military attack on Iran would be far worse than anything the world has seen so far and it seems for now that both Israel and the US are aware that this is the case.
One should be concerned that the peacemaking in the Korean peninsula may be coming at the expense of Iran and the Middle East. If peace really comes to the Koreas then the US war machine and weapons manufacturers will need a place of tension and conflict to which they can turn and Iran and the Middle East are the perfect target.
A new Netanyahu supporter who is also vying for regional hegemony is the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. He was recently quoted as saying that Iran’s supreme leader “makes Hitler looks good.” The absurdity of this remark comes to light when one looks at the genocide the Saudi regime is conducting in Yemen. The Crown Prince also said that the Palestinians must make peace with Israel or shut up. The question is make peace out of what? Peace can only come as a result of two sides of a conflict wishing to end the hostilities. The Palestinians, the Prince may be interested to learn, have been on the receiving end of the violence in their own land for seven decades. God only knows how many times they have tried and how many concessions they were prepared to make and still the aggressor, the Zionist regime that has been killing them is not in the least interested. Like the great Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani said, “it is like a conversation between the sword and the neck.” At each point that Palestinians tried to talk with their oppressors the Zionist sword dug deeper and deeper into the Palestinian neck, to the point where it is barely hanging by a thread.
Now once again, the Zionist regime is creating a smoke screen to divert attention from their own crimes in Palestine and once again they use Iran. One measured response to Netanyahu’s ridiculous claims of secret files, Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s High Representative of for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said, “The JCPOA, the nuclear agreement, is not based on assumptions of good faith or trust - it is based on concrete commitments, verification mechanisms and a very strict monitoring of facts, done by the IAEA. The IAEA has published 10 reports, certifying that Iran has fully complied with its commitments.” And she added that, “if any party and if any country has information of non-compliance, of any kind, it can and should address and channel this information to the proper, legitimate, recognized mechanisms, the IAEA and the Joint Commission [of the JCPOA] for the monitoring of the nuclear deal that I chair and that I convened just a couple of months ago. We have mechanisms in place to address eventual concerns.” Mogherini concluded her statement by saying, “I have not seen from Prime Minister Netanyahu arguments for the moment on non-compliance, meaning violation by Iran of its nuclear commitments under the [nuclear] deal. And again, the deal was put in place exactly because there was no trust between the parties, otherwise we would not have required a nuclear deal to be put in place.”
Once again the world will have to wait and see if the US administration will listen to reason and leave Iran alone, or whether they will join the Netanyahu madness and once again impose sanctions on a nation that has committed no offenses while letting the State of Israel get away with murder.

"Nu al worden met Iraanse steun langs Israëls grenzen militaire capaciteiten ontwikkeld waarmee het land rechtstreeks wordt bedreigd. Om dat te voorkomen voert Israël regelmatig bombardementsvluchten uit, waarop Iran weer wraak zweert.
Zolang Iran met sancties in de tang wordt gehouden, geen kernwapens bezit en Israël die wel heeft, is deze situatie beheersbaar."
